Aggregate Industries’ unique project of is the largest quarry construction project in Europe with an existing operation along with processing plant, asphalt plants and a rail load out facility. From its inception, the health and safety of operators on this project has been the highest priority. Long before, a strategy was developed for managing the interaction between the construction and quarrying activities. The creation of a strong safety culture for everyone working on the project has been fundamental to its success together with a fully integrated approach to managing all aspects of health and safety.
