Since 1951, the Nuova Demi has contributed to the development and progress of Bergamo urban planning. The geographical expansion is flanked by new initiatives and the extractive activity is a natural complement within the environmental recovery. The company won the 2016 ‘Green Company Award’ presenting the project ‘Quarry and environment: a sustainable synergy’. The redevelopment project also included a mega photovoltaic park and a new structure of accommodation for small groups as school classes. The redevelopment has also led to a significant increase of species detailed in the project.
