Case Study
Bernegger GmbH
Molln, Austria
Bernegger has developed an overall concept for the transport of raw materials by rail. The primary objective of the project was to reduce truck traffic in connection with transport of mineral raw materials. The main objectives were the significant reduction of air pollutants (primarily CO2 , NOx, PM10 fine dust) and of noise emissions during transport, the reduction of costs for truck personnel and the increase in the plannability and availability of mineral raw material transports from plant to customer. The complete solution developed of combined rail logistics for raw material transports, consisted of a developed special-container transport system in conjunction with connecting track Spital/Pyhrn.
